Last week was nothing more of rushing assignments and projects. Thank goodness for a short break this week.
. . .
Also, my college friends and i entered a competition held by one of our lecturers whom is a fashion artist, Lisa. Basically we just had to style up ourselves with casual wear and have an essence of 'Liselle' herself ( the brand character). If you're curious about how she looks like click here! Oh! and the lucky winner will walk away with RM3000 + album cover shoot.
Results for selected top ten should be out next month! fingers crossed!
as for me, im feeling a liiiitle under the weather. perhaps its the constant insomnia problem i've been having for a week now. should really force myself to get back to my 'sleep early wake up early be more productive' routine. (:
. . .
above is a digital painting i did (last month i think?). i was pretty gaga over floral head bands at the time. still am, honestly!
edited: oh! oh! and i really am so grateful for all your sweet comments. they really make my day more lovely(: thank you!
something i did during the weekend! im pretty happy with how the colours turned out. but i also used photoshop to brighten them though.
i really enjoy going back to traditional painting (although the tablet can be much more convenient). there's just something about dipping the brush into paint and spreading it over paper that seems more exhilarating. i probably should do this more often. for the fun of it!
so awhile ago i was approached by the tongue in chic team. they asked me if i would like to come up with some illustrations for their lookbook launch. and of course i said yes. so here are 4 out of 8 looks i drew. to see the full and complete edits and looks, click here!
this week has been pretty fulfilling. one reason why i'm trying to take more pictures recently is so i can capture that moment. i think photography is one of the best ways to do that. its like, when a moment is captured and becomes a photo, it lasts for life. and i really enjoy reminiscing on those moments; no matter how simple. because its the simple things in life that mean the most.
. . .
pictures above from left: fluffy clouds, assorted bean dessert, night time devotions(that im trying to do regularly), alone time with that's so raven episodes that always make my day, snacking on homemade avocado smoothies, floral dress, brunch, morning skies.
Don't they look yummy!? I think I might try making these.
. . .
2 mangoes, peeled and diced Freshly squeezed juice from 1 large orange 200 ml water [3/4 cup PLUS 2 Tbsp] 150 g sugar [rounded 3/4 cup] Yogurt
. . .
Fill the bottom of your popsicle mold with the yogurt, then freeze it until the mango puree is ready, but for at least 30 minutes.
Stir sugar and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Process mango and orange juice in a food processor until smooth, add syrup and process to combine. Let it cool in the refrigerator.
Fill popsicle molds and freeze until firm. Insert wooden popsicle sticks and return to freezer until frozen. Dip molds in hot water to unmold before consuming.
This was taken while I was on the way back from college. I usually despise being stuck in traffic, especially after a long day with my eyelids already losing its strength to stay open. But today, the sky looked exquisitely beautiful. So i didn't mind at all getting caught in the jam. Btw, this phone picture doesn't do no justice to how breath taking it really was.
